Join Ranger Bob Weston on an upland walk through Upper Glen Vale.
You will cross open moorland with an opportunity to hear and catch a glimpse of red grouse, partridge, ravens and perhaps see brown hares, roe deer and green tiger beetles as the route descends through the glen.
You will need to be moderately fit and healthy and capable of walking over rough terrain. The walk is approximately 5 miles long.
Dress appropriately for conditions on the day - walking boots or good walking shoes, waterproof jacket, packed lunch, water and any medication you may require.
Minimum age 10 years, under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
Meet at Craigmead Car Park (a minibus will return you to Craigmead at the end of the walk).
