From stormy winter seas to sunny summer days, this exhibition celebrates the busy and colourful coastline of the East Neuk throughout the year.
Yolandé began her career in the car industry working with designers in prototype development and then as a Senior Manufacturing Consultant across Europe, but she always craved a life closer to nature – where she could enjoy painting the natural world rather than bits of cars! Having graduated with a First in Fine Art at Central St Martin’s University of Arts in London she lived on the South East English coast, painting people, horses and other animals, mainly in oil on linen. The picturesque coastline, quaint houses and passing people came to inspire Yolandé when she moved to the East Neuk in 2013. To capture the sea-like ebb and flow of the people and animals that come to live on or visit the Fife coast, her preferred medium is watercolour.
