DAY

add to trip planner

If you're planning to visit the Kingdom to join Fife's first Pride event on Sat 1st July, then why not make a weekend of it? Here are some suggestions from event organiser Stuart Duffy.
Visit Falkland Palace

Visit Falkland Palace

Set in the heart of Falkland conservation village, and surrounded by extensive gardens, this partly restored Renaissance palace is the perfect place to while away the morning. Part of the Palace is in ruins but the original and reconstructed rooms are packed with 17th-century Flemish tapestries, elaborate painted ceilings and antique furnishings.  The beautiful, tranquil grounds are worth a visit alone. They are home to the oldest Real or Royal tennis court in Britain, built for King James V.

Enjoy a tour at Eden Mill

Enjoy a tour at Eden Mill

Eden Mill is Scotland’s original single site distillery and brewery, based just outside St Andrews offering fantastic beer and gin tours. They create limited edition, artisanal gins that are inspired by the flowers that are blossoming, berries that are bursting and herbs that are rampaging around us right at that specific moment in time. Bound by the seasons is the way Eden Mill like it, with Mother Nature as their muse. Specialising in Whisky, Beer and Gin, Eden Mill is the perfect place to spend an afternoon. Even better if you're not driving!
