Forth Bridge announced as Scotland's sixth World Heritage Site

The Forth Bridge is a Scottish icon that is recognised the world over.

In early 2014 an application was submitted to UNESCO in an attempt to have the Forth Bridge inscribed as a World Heritage Site and this was granted on 3 July 2015.

The Forth Bridge joins The Old and New Towns of Edinburgh, New Lanark, St Kilda, the Antonine Wall and The Heart of Neolithic Orkney as Scotland's sixth World Heritage Site.
