We recently invited VisitScotland's Ambassadog George (an adorable golden retriever) and his owners to enjoy a weekend in Fife. Boasting Scotland's longest continuous coastal path - Fife Coastal Path - which stretches 117 miles, as well as award-winning beaches and dog-friendly attractions, the region is perfect for a dog-friendly break.
As part of their trip, George and his owners were given the chance to explore the Kingdom’s stunning coastline. They stayed at Catchpenny Safari Lodges, situated on the Elie coast which offers easy access to the coastal path with views towards Lady's Tower on one side and Newark Castle on the other.
They were also treated to a fabulous food experience with Fife Ambassador, Christopher Trotter, along with his dogs, Mungo and Tilly! The chef and food writer demonstrated one of his delicious recipes for the dogs to enjoy from the cookbook The Hairy Bakers This definitely got George's paw of approval!
During the weekend, they also enjoyed dinner at The Ship Inn in Elie, who welcome dogs, a yummy snack from the Cheesy Toast Shack at Kingsbarns Beach, and a walk around the 1200 acre country Cambo Estate, finishing off the trip with lunch at the dog-friendly Nosebag Cafe which opened recently.
We captured George's Fife weekend adventure on video. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
