See some of the first daffodil cultivars ever created in the UK (based on the Wordsworth style daffodils) in a National Collection and hundreds of different historic, scented, modern and rare daffodils with spring flowers in a Walled Garden. COMPETITION MUSIC & PHOTOGRAPHY DAFFODIL THEME

MUSIC: Send in your best demo track based on the themes daffodils have been connected with
now and throughout our culture, love, loss..........
Short listed tracks will be listened to by a talent scout from a major record label and, if the sound fits, an offer will be extended
to you from a London based management company.
Why is it a great opportunity – this record label has, in previous years, received over 500,000 demo tracks per annum. Shortlisted submissions from
this competition are put forward with a recommendation.
PHOTOGRAPHY: Find an unusual or inventive way to photograph daffodils wherever you might find
them. Images can be in colour or black & white and should be high or medium resolution.
Selection by panel with the final decision being made by artist Allan Watson and designer John Doyle. The chosen work
will be displayed in the Backhouse Heritage and Education Centre from April until September and promoted across social media.
DEADLINE: 1ST APRIL 2018
Winners will be announced at The National Daffodil Festival on Sunday 12 midday and on the website www.backhouserossie.co.uk.
