Balgove Larder has confirmed the return of its much-loved Christmas Night Market on Tuesday 2nd of December 2025 from 4pm to 8pm. The popular annual event is free and is suitable for all ages. Visitors can look forward to a festive evening brimming with local makers, seasonal food and drink, live music and festive cheer. New for this year is ‘The Car Boot’, featuring a curated selection of preloved and vintage homeware, clothing, and jewellery, perfect for unique Christmas gifts and a great way to champion the importance of sustainable shopping.
Throughout the evening, Balgove Larder will host a cooking demonstration, showcasing how to prepare, cook, and sample the finest ingredients showcased in the market. The farm team will also be on hand, bringing along animals, offering a behind-the-scenes glimpse of farm life that makes the event especially enjoyable for families. As always, a wide range of local producers and artisans will be taking part, championing the very best that Scotland has to offer. Visitors can enjoy a taste from the Highlands with Scottish seaweed snacks from Shore seaweed crisps, sample Timber Botanical Rum, and Apple Eau de Vie from Pochle, pick up butter, bread and pastries from Wee Knob of Butter and browse fresh bakery goods from Barnetts Bakery. Perfect for Christmas shopping, there will be handmade dog treats from Fido, soy wax candles from Noord, crochet toys from Hart and crafts, handmade soaps and sponges from Beeseep Organics, ceramic pieces and cards from Joy Nevada, silver jewellery from Suzi Blue Jewellery, handwoven designs from Jess Hagkerdar Designs and wholebean and ground coffee from Neuk Coffee Company. Food and drink enthusiasts can enjoy a special pairing of Naughton Cider, made using the champagne method, with panettone from Casella & Polegato. There will also be French macarons from Chardon Macarons, mushrooms from Canny Mushrooms, craft beer and soft drinks from 71 Brewing and Bon Accord, gin from The Gin Bothy and fresh fish from Arbroath from The Fish Hoose. And with more vendors joining by the week, there will be even more to discover as the event approaches. Hot food will be available on the night too, with The House of Tapas serving Spanish tapas and paella and The Wee Churros Corner offering the perfect sweet treat to warm up. There will also be dishes available from Balgove’s own Steak Barn and Eat Out, Hot Dog Box. The shop will also remain open throughout the evening, offering plenty of opportunity to browse for festive shopping, including seasonal treats from the Deli, Christmas trees and homemade wreaths.
Those pepping for Christmas dinner can also place their festive pre-orders on the night, with Balgove Larder’s full Christmas range now available.
