Coming this March! Fife Food and Drink Week

Fife is home to some of the very best food and drink in Scotland, and this March we will be celebrating and showcasing our wonderful food and drink producers and businesses at the first Fife Food & Drink Week.

From 9th to 17th March there will be lots of tasty events such from special menus to markets, and talks and tastings at venues across the Kingdom. 

We'll be adding events over the next few weeks so keep checking our Food & Drink Week events listings for March

Here's a taste of what you'll be able to enjoy:

Come and enjoy an exclusive Stag & Steak Night at Teasses Estate where you'll enjoy grassfed Beef & Venison sourced from the estate, cooked to your liking in front of your very eyes in the wonderful setting of the Victorian Greenhouse Greenhouse within the renowned walled garden.  

Find out all about Honey at Show Me The Honey with multi award-winning beekeeper Gael Wilkinson of Kin Bees, including what makes a good one! You'll get the chance to taste and compare delicious honeys paired with a selection of cheeses and fruits while appreciating all of the bees delicious work. 

Calling all cocktail lovers! St Andrews Cocktail Week is back with 10 days of delicious cocktails at over 50 venues. Whether you’re a fan of the classics, or looking for something more adventurous, there’s something for everyone.

If you'd like to make your own cocktail there's a Cocktail Masterclass at Balcomie where you'll learn some of the tricks of the trade with a cocktail shaker!

Fife College's popular Food & Drink Festival is back with lots to enjoy and featuring chef demos, kids' workshops, food truck, food and drink stalls, wine-tasting, cocktail-making and more.

Pop along to the Pop Up Market at Falkland Estate for the very best food drink and crafts around. When you're there why not explore the Estate too?

Parisian Cafe Music is coming to Crail! Les Trois Blondes are the only band in Scotland specialising in Bal Musette, the French café music of Paris and they will be bringing their talents to Crail for a delightful afternoon. Bring your own food and drink and make it a truley Parisian afternoon.

The wonderful Bowhouse Market is back for March with an array of Scottish food and drink traders plus the Tea Green craft traders, all in the wonderful setting of the East Neuk of Fife. This month's theme is 'Grow Your Own'.

Cupar Market brings together independent traders ofering fresh produce and food plus handmade crafts, homewares and more. The market has a focus on sustainability and a tree is planted for each market held by Trees for Life. 

If you're looking for a lovely treat for a Sunday, how about Rufflets St Andrews Jazz Sunday Lunch? Enjoy a delicious lunch and listen along to some great music - the perfect combination. 

The Boar's Head Hunter's Menu brings you a unique opportunity to savour the flavours of the Scottish wilderness, where you can enjoy starters like wood pigeon and venison tartare, and mains including wild mallard and venison saddle. It's available for a limited time so don't miss out! 

Come along to the Larick Centre Foodie Market to taste the best Fife can offer. Stock up on fantastic produce from bread and cakes to preserves and jams, and from apple juice to beer and gin. 

It's Mother's Day on 10th March so why not treat your Mum to a day of delicious treats and enjoy Sunday Lunch or Afternoon Tea at Rufflets. Sit back and enjoy tasty treats in delightful surroundings.

Get creative and create something unique at a Spoon Carving Workshop in Dunfermline. Expert maker Marcus will provide you with the knowledge and skills to safely carve a teaspoon using both a straight knife and a hooked knife, learning safe knife grips and enabling you to go home and make more!  

Mother's Day is the perfect time to show your mum, gran, wife, mums-to-be, godmothers or that special someone who is like a mum to you how special they are! Michelin Star restaurant The Peat Inn is the perfect place for a very special Mother's Day treat. Choose from their beautiful three or four course lunch or tasting menu in a relaxed and stylish setting.

You'll get a fabulous Fish Tea for a Tenner at Balcomie Links Hotel in Crail during Fife food & Drink Week! You can also upgrade to a fancy fish tea with a glass of fizz for just £3 more.

The Larick Centre in Tayport has a lovely garden run by volunteers. You are invited to go along to visit and they will have some fruit trees to giveaway as part of Climate Action Fife's campaign to get a fruit tree for every garden in Fife.

Celebrate International Women's Day & Mother's Day with a Tipsy Tea at the Den at Culross.  Enjoy a a lovely tea including savoury and sweet treats plus tea and coffee, with the option of adding some fizz or a ccktail or mocktail.

Head to lovely Limekilns for the special menu at The Sundial Cafe. Highlighting some of the beautiful food & drink from around Fife, including treats like local Smoked Salmon, Tikka sandwich featuring local spice blends, Cakes with Deborah, Bees jams & Fife Hot Chocolate.

Pop into Silverburn Park in Lundin Links for some tasty treats in their Fife Favourites Menu at the Cottage Window Cafe. There are some mouth watering choices like breakfast rolls using puddledub sausage, bacon and local eggs!

Are you gluten free but always wanted to try the world famous chippy in Anstruther? Come along on Saturday 9th March to enjoy one worry free, at Anstruther Fish Bar Gluten Free Batter Day.

The Academy Restaurant at Fife College in Kirkcaldy serves a range of delicious freshly-cooked food of the highest quality, with the menu shaped to reflect the seasons. Lunch is available Wednesday to Friday, with evening opening too on Thursday.

Why not treat yourself to a delicious mid week meal at Garvock House in Dunfermline. Enjoy 3 set courses from the special menu made using fresh, local ingredients to create a delicious seasonal menu served in a friendly & relaxing atmosphere for only £20.00 per person.

This Mother's Day, indulge in a culinary delight with an exquisite 3-course Sunday Roast at The Godfather Restaurant at Stewart's Resort near St Andrews. Mums will recieve a special gift and adults will be  welcomed with a complimentary glass of sparkling wine. Live piano music will serenade your dining experience in the restaurant.

In celebration of the produce from the fields and waters of the East Neuk, and of the farmers, fisherfolk, artisan producers, and local suppliers that bring it to us, The Shoregate in Crail is offering The East Neuk Experience, a five-course tasting menu.

For something a bit different head to Abbot House in Dunfermline for Origami & Elevenses. You’ll learn to craft delightful origami teacups with local origami artist Jess, and enjoy elevenses (a delightful tea or coffee and sweet treats from Prost Coffee), perfectly complementing your new found origami skills.
