Silverburn Park in Leven has opened a new campsite to provide great value accommodation for visitors to the area.
It's a small family friendly campsite with stunning views across the Firth of Forth to Berwick Law and the Bass Rock. It's only 400 metres from the Fife Coastal Path, and within easy walking or cycling distance of Leven Beach and the amenities of the town centre.
The campsite has 12 tent pitches, 3 heated eco pods, and 4 campervan pitches. There is also have a lovely firepit so you can warm yourselves by the fire and toast marshmallows of an evening!
It's the latest addition to the facilities at the park which include woodland walks, a cafe, bike hire, a walled garden plus easy access to Leven Beach and teh Fife Coastal Path.
Park leaseholdersand award winning mental health charity, Fife Employment Access Trust (FEAT) have also just launched a major fundraising campaign to bring the currently derelict B-listed former Flax Mill building back to lifeas an iconic centre-piece. There are plans for four arts & crafts studios, fully accessible public toilets with Changing Places facilities, meeting rooms and event space, offices for FEAT staff and partners, Interpretation displays telling the history of the mill and how it fitted into the wider flax industry across Fife, and a backpackers' hostel with 27 beds. The opening date for the mill is Easter 2025.
