Fife’s outdoors offers many attractive opportunities to get out and enjoy the scenery.
Whether you’re a rambler, a cyclist, a horse-rider or disabled, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
The objectives of the Fife Access Forum are to:
- Advise Fife Council and anyone else on access rights, rights of way and core paths
- Assist with resolving access disputes
- Respond to consultations from Fife Council and others on matters regarding access to the outdoors.
Phototrails is a website produced by The Fieldfare Trust, who work with people with disabilities and countryside managers to improve access to the countryside for everyone.
Their site has many walks in Fife, which show a route visually by use of photos and a trail on a map. It is proving to be an invaluable resource, especially for those who need to know about gradients, sizes of gates and such like to plan their access to the countryside.
