Townhill Country Park is located only one and a half miles from Dunfermline town centre and is a popular place for walkers, runners, cycling, fishing and wildlife watching.
Townhill Country Park comprises three parts, The Town Loch, The Village Park and Town Hill Wood.
Town Loch has a mile long path around the loch. It is a good place to see ducks, herons and at night bats. The loch is the national training site for waterski and waterboard Scotland. You can learn to waterski or waterboard here.
The Village Park contains a whole host of community facilities including childrens play area, outdoor fitness equipment, multi-use games area, allotments and football pitches and cycle training area.
To the east of the village is Townhill Wood which ahs a good network of paths for exporing.
