Learn about the fate of Archbishop Hamilton, author of the famous 1552 charter, where golf at St Andrews is mentioned for the first time. From the Rabbit Wars to the end of the Second World War, the lecture explores how conflict has shaped golf at St Andrews over four centuries. This lecture ties in the themes of our temporary exhibtion Bunker Shots: Stories of Golf and Conflict, which was curated by Kieran and runs until Spring 2026. Doors will open from 6.30pm, with tea and coffee available upon arrival. Tickets can be purchased through the link or on the door by card on the night. Lectures are open to all.
