One of the most extraordinary polymaths of his time (1860-1948) – a biologist with interests in physics, mathematics, geography, classics and much more besides. This illustrated talk will explore D’Arcy’s career in Dundee and St Andrews, his ideas and their extraordinary influence, his connections to the St Andrews Preservation Trust and the development of the Zoology Museum that now bears his name.
