Scotland is honoured to be hosting the European Vintage Ploughing Championships, which will be taking place alongside the 57th Scottish Ploughing Championships.

Pre-Practice Ground is available 22nd – 24th October @ £25 per plot (50 m x 20 m approximately) – (paid in advance online via clubentries.co.uk/scotplough/).
Thursday 24th October – Arrival and Welcome Meal at Bowhouse Farm, St Monans, Fife.
Friday 25th October – Practice Day and European Ploughing Association AGM
Saturday 26th October – Competition Day 1 at Bowhouse.
Sunday 27th October – Competition Day 2 at Bowhouse. Prize presentation at Bowhouse.
Monday 28th October – Departure.
Accommodation: A list of accommodation providers within 8 miles of the site is at the foot of this page. Further accommodation is available in the larger towns of St Andrews, Glenrothes and Kirkcaldy which are in excess of 13 miles from the site.
If you wish to stay on site in your vehicle/caravan/tent please book online (£10) at: clubentries.co.uk/scotplough (no later than 30th August – cost will be £20 after this date), to cover provision of facilities. Arrival date: Thursday 24th October; departure by Monday 28th October. Arrival and departure outwith these dates must be agreed with organiser in advance (before 1st October).
It is essential that you book in to stay on site to comply with the Scottish Ploughing Championships Health & Safety policy.
We have put together a meal package which includes the Welcome Evening meal on 24th October plus a packed lunch on 25th, 26th and 27th October at a cost of £50 sterling paid in advance (by 30th August) online via clubentries.co.uk/scotplough/ or at a cost of £60 sterling if paid after 30th August.
Ploughing: The match site is located in the East Neuk of Fife, north of Edinburgh. The fields for the competition are a mix of cereal stubble and clover stubble. The ground is level with sandy soil. Equipment may be left on site at owner’s risk. All participants agree to abide by the Health and Safety Policy and Rules of Ploughing Championships (Scotland) Ltd.
Entries: Each country may send one competitor in each of the three conventional plough classes, plus two in the two reversible plough classes.
Practice Day – 25th October: Competitors are allocated one practice plot per country.

We are unable to organise travel to and from the site or any airport, ferry terminal or accommodation provider. Distance from DFDS International Passenger Terminal, North Shields, Newcastle to Fife is approximately 160 miles. Edinburgh Airport is 45 miles from the site.
Entry forms will be issued by the European Ploughing Association.
