Discover the art of fermentation in this practical, hands-on workshop set in the beautiful surroundings of Ravenscraig Walled Garden. If the weather allows we’ll be working outdoors surrounded by nature and seasonal produce, exploring how simple ingredients can be transformed into nourishing, gut-friendly ferments. Alternatively, we’ll work in our cosy cabin on site. We’ll explore how fermentation works with a mix of discussion, tasting and practical activities You’ll make seasonal kimchi to take away, along with recipes and suggestions so that you can experiment at home. You’ll learn how to introduce fermented foods to your diet in easy and accessible ways. We’ll taste fermented foods and discuss the benefits for our health and wellbeing, this will include seasonal kraut, fermented veg and kimchi.

Accessibility There are accessible parking spaces on site. Please note the terrain is mostly flat and the paths are gravel. The venue is outdoors with the exception of the working cabin.
