Fife Folk Museum’s latest exhibition opened on August 28th and runs until the end of October. Entitled ‘Corn Dollies & The Harvest’ it features many beautiful corn dollies most of which were hand crafted and donated to the Museum by local man Bill Watson.
They include a magnificent Coronation Coach and crown, made for the 1953 coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. Alongside the corn dollies are various interesting photographs of harvesting in times gone by and many harvest related artefacts.
Following the success of our Spoon Carving workshop earlier in the season, Colin Harper will be returning to conduct a further workshop on Sunday October 6th.
The final Evening Talk of the season takes place on Monday October 7th at 7pm when Jo Hambly will talk on ‘Archaeology and Coastal Erosion on the Coast of Fife’.View all events
