Join Climate Action Fife for a hands-on outdoor session as part of the Fife Climate Forest Tree Canopy Survey — a citizen science project building the most detailed picture of Fife’s urban tree cover ever created. 12.30-1.30pm free light lunch 1.30pm -4pm outdoor session What you’ll do: Identify tree species in the local area Record size and health using simple, straightforward methods Log your findings via an easy-to-use app Contribute directly to a permanent, publicly accessible map of Fife’s urban canopy No experience, training or specialist knowledge needed — just curiosity and a willingness to get outside. You’ll be guided every step of the way. This data is genuinely important. Trees across Fife face growing threats from disease, drought and development, yet professional surveys are costly and rare. Your contributions will help ensure we have the evidence needed to protect and grow Fife’s urban forest for generations to come. Free to attend. Everyone welcome.
