Welcome to the Spring edition of Forspoken Poetry and Open Mic Night, hosted in Aikman's Bar and Bistro! The event will run in two halves where we will have our feature poets performing during the first hour and a bit, then we will have a break, followed by our open mic segment in the second half. Our four wonderful feature poets this month are: Gilad Zinman, Emily Briggs, Josh Cake, Adrija Gosh.
The night will run on the 16th of May and will run from 6.30-9 PM, which should allow for plenty of time for anyone travelling from a farther distance to get back to the bus and/or Leuchars train station on time. If you are getting into St Andrews from Leuchars station, there is a regular bus into town every 10 minutes, which takes a 10-15 minute journey. If you would like to sign up for one of our open mic slots, sign ups will be open until Sunday 9th of May, after this date we will select our open micers through random selection depending on if we have too many, we are hoping to have 8 slots available. Each open mic slot will be five minutes long. Everyone should be informed on the 10th of May, if they are going to be on the list for the night or not.
