Veterans – Here & Now Exhibition. Beyond the uniform. Beyond the stereotype. This is is a two-year collaborative project co-curated by writer Lisa May Young and photographer Cath Ruane Through personal storytelling and powerful portrait photography, this exhibition challenges stereotypes and explores the lives of veterans beyond military service. Every veteran has a story, an identity and a life that extends far beyond the uniform. Through personal experiences, reflections and portraits, the exhibition invites us to look beyond assumptions, recognise the individuals behind the label and gain a deeper understanding of life after service. At its heart, Veterans – Here & Now celebrates the voices and lived experiences of veterans, giving them space to share their stories on their own terms. Because being a veteran is part of a story, not the whole story.
