"One of the best things about living in Crail is the ability to step out the door and straight onto the coastal path to explore the coastline with my daughters who love to be outdoors."
Stained glass artist Keny Drew is very proud to be based in the village of Crail on the east coast of Scotland. It was the varied artistic disciplines of people he met along the East Neuk coast line that really inspired him however, and led to his involvement in the East Neuk Open Studios.
“Artists often work alone and while that is how I spend the majority of my working days, it's a great inspiration to feel part of a larger group of artists”.
Although working throughout the UK with a wide variety of clients, it is the influence of the east coast of Scotland that shines through in Keny's designs. After leaving college with an Advanced Diploma in Illustrative Photography, Keny has experimented with as many different techniques and artists as possible to develop his own unique style.
He recently feature on the Burdz Eye View series when Elaine C Smith visited East Neuk Glass to make her very own pair of stained glass pants! He's planning a 'Pants' exhibition in Cellardyke in April 2017.
Talented artist Keny Drew creates bespoke, high quality stained glass. Each item is beautifully handmade from his studio in the east neuk.
