NEW - Riverside Park, Glenrothes

The newest addition to Fife’s parkrun calendar (starting July 2025), Riverside Park is now one of Scotland’s largest and most dynamic green spaces. The park features a resurfaced network of scenic pathways—ideal for a smooth and enjoyable 5k parkrun. The route winds alongside the river, round the pond and through tranquil wooded areas, offering a mix of natural beauty and scenic terrain. Families will appreciate the new £1 million savannah-themed adventure playpark and pump track, perfect for keeping kids entertained during and after the event. The park also boasts a skatepark, disc golf course, floral gardens, arboretum, orchard, pond, and a collection of public art installations.

Lochore Meadows, near Lochgelly

Nestled beside a scenic loch, Lochore Meadows Country Park—locally known as “The Meedies”—is Fife’s most visited free attraction, and with good reason. This expansive country park offers a family-friendly atmosphere, complete with an adventure playpark and a range of watersports. The parkrun course follows a mixed terrain and tarmac route that loops around the loch, providing a picturesque parkrun location. After your run, refuel with some refreshments at the on-site café.
