Singers from Kirkcaldy Choral Union, Kirkcaldy Gilbert & Sullivan Society, Fife Opera and Langtoun Central Church Choir will perform short sets of some jazz, classical and opera from 1926 to 1976 and come together with a rhythm section from FYJO under the direction of Richard Michael, BEM to perform The Adam Smith Suite, a brand new piece that Langtoun Jazz have commissioned Richard to compose for the occasion. The Adam Smith Suite will be based on Scottish Folk tunes that were around in 1776 to commemorate the 250th anniversary of Adam Smith's 'Wealth of Nations' This concert is part of Kirkcaldy's Lang Toun Fest which takes place for the whole month of June at various venues in the town Tickets are available to book online or at the door on the day of the concert from 1.30pm for £15 by cash or card The concert will be set up with theatre style seating - first come first served Teas and coffees will be available at the interval and patrons can bring their own drinks and nibbles
