Meet the Fife Coast and Countryside Trust team who help care for Dalbeath Marsh Local Nature Reserve. We’ll be on hand to chat about how we look after the marsh, the wildlife that calls it home, and simple ways you can help nature thrive right on your doorstep.
This free event is all about getting stuck in and having fun, with hands‑on activities for all ages running throughout the morning: Minibeast Hunting Grab one of our bug nets and see what tiny creatures you can discover hiding in the meadow. Bird Spotting Try out our binoculars and telescope and see which birds you can find around the reserve. Pond Dipping Ever wondered what’s wriggling beneath the surface? Scoop up pond critters and get a closer look with our bug pots. Safe Fire Lighting Have a go at using flint and steel to spark a small, safe fire while learning about outdoor safety. This is a drop‑in event — turn up whenever suits you, no booking needed.
