About This Exhibition Utopia is a book, exhibition and workshop programme that explores our never-ending quest for a perfect life in the towns and cities where we live and work. Our dreams and aspirations are often linked to these places, but they themselves are in a perilous state, struggling to adapt to a changing world. When hope and promise are in short supply, memory needs a place to linger. The exhibition has been created for our three main galleries and features all the work from the book presented as 14 large scale triptych photographs. In addition, a specially designed ‘Urban Wallpaper’ by the textile designer/printmaker Astrid Weigel will be on show. One gallery features photography by young people from Lynburn and Touch Primary Schools in Dunfermline made in response to workshops with the artist. The book can be bought direct from Gallery shop and comes with a free A2 Utopia (unfolded) poster. The book can also be bought direct from www.adamgeary.com. A free A5 brochure/A2 folded poster is also available at the venue and throughout Dunfermline and Fife. Our Thanks Utopia was supported by the National Lottery through Creative Scotland and OnFife.
