Newport Library & Heritage Centre

Come and find out what's ON display at Newport Heritage Centre. We have a range of objects and photographs that depict the history of Newport and Wormit.

Topics include transport across the River Tay through the ages, local sports & leisure activities and recollections of WW1 & WW2.

These heritage displays have been integrated within the library to create a cultural hub for Newport residents and visitors.

The Library in Newport was relaunched as Newport Library and Heritage Centre in February 2009. On display is information on the history of the Newport and Wormit area.  On show are objects and photographs looking at a range of topics such as transport across the Tay, local sports & leisure and the world wars.
