Scotscraig Golfing Club is a six-time Open Championship Final Qualifying venue from 1984 to 2001, a qualifying site for the 2018 Senior Open Championship, and host of the 2023 & 2025 Scottish PGA Championship; this championship layout has long tested world-class professionals and visiting members alike.

Founded in 1817 by members of the St. Andrews Society of Golfers (later to become the Royal and Ancient Golf Club), Scotscraig Golfing Club embodies 200 years of golfing history. The course today holds true to the original architects, Old Tom Morris and James Braid, and is a compelling blend of heathland and links characteristics. It remains the oldest course in the world still owned and played by its founding club.
