About

Experience Scotland's Wild is a VisitScotland 5-star tour operator running small-group tours of Scotland. Our St Andrews day tour from Edinburgh is a full day in the Kingdom of Fife, with no more than 16 travellers and a local guide who tells the stories behind each stop. It's an easy way to see Fife without a car.

Where we go in Fife

  • The Forth bridges: views of the Forth Bridge, the Forth Road Bridge and the Queensferry Crossing, three generations of Scottish engineering side by side.
  • Lady's Tower, Elie: a little 18th-century tower above the sea in the East Neuk, where your guide shares the story of Lady Janet Anstruther.
  • St Andrews: lunch and free time to explore the Old Course and the Swilcan Bridge, the medieval streets, the castle and cathedral ruins, and West Sands.
  • Dunfermline Abbey: the burial place of Robert the Bruce, with stories of Scotland's kings and queens.

The tour runs most days of the year, from £88 per adult. It leaves central Edinburgh at 9am and returns around 4:35pm. You can check live dates and book on our website.

Private tours through Fife

We also plan private tours for families, friends and small groups on your own dates, with your own guide and vehicle. These can take in Fife too, from a private St Andrews day tour from Edinburgh to time in the fishing villages of the East Neuk, a round of golf, or a stop in Fife on the way north to the Highlands.
