Lutra Grampia is a values-based organisation working in support of otter conservation across Scotland, through practical action, conservation education and awareness events, guided walks and workshops and ecological consulting services.
We regularly host otter ecology walks at locations across Fife, giving participants an opportunity to learn more about how to identify and interpret field signs as well as their biology, behaviour and conservation needs. Aimed at deepening nature connection and environmental awareness, walks last from 1.5 - 3 hours and can be tailored to meet the needs of the group taking part. Walks can be arranged for private groups in addition to those we advertise, and wherever possible, we aim to ensure the routes we take cater for accessibility as well as offer some level of benefit to the local community, such as incorporating a visit to local independent cafes for refreshments.
In addition, we offer bespoke and block conservation education sessions for school, home education and community groups as well as engagement events and presentations. On occasions, we are will also deliver practical activities which would allow for volunteer engagement in otter conservation intiatives.
All activities we offer - including our ecological consulting services - are inclusive of a donation to a local conservation group or project working to benefit otters and or their habitats as part of the booking fee.
