Must-visit Scottish Snowdrop Festival Events Across Fife

02 February

Explorers

Snowdrops are the first sign that spring is on its way. The Scottish Snowdrop Festival is a wonderful chance to get outside, explore beautiful gardens, and enjoy a host of welcoming events inspired by these charming little flowers.

1 .

Discover Cambo Estate, birthplace of the Scottish Snowdrop Festival

Did you know Cambo Estate is the birthplace of the festival and home to the UK’s Plant Heritage National Snowdrop Collection? Visit this beautiful estate and enjoy peaceful woodland walks carpeted with hundreds of snowdrop varieties.

There’s also a unique opportunity to step inside Cambo House on a guided tour, along with a programme of intimate gigs from acclaimed singer-songwriters. After your walk, stop at the award-winning Stables Cafe for creative, fresh vegetarian and vegan-friendly food.

Tip: Visit the website for full details of all events running until 12th March and to book ahead.

2 .

Admire snowdrops by candlelight at Teasses Estate

Step into a winter wonderland at Teasses Estate’s annual Snowdrop Walk and wander through drifts of delicate snowdrops brought to life by candlelight, a truly magical winter evening not to be missed.

The event runs from 28 February to 1 March, with gates opening at 4pm and last entry at 6:30pm. Light refreshments will be available in the greenhouse.

Tip: dress warmly and wear waterproofs and sturdy footwear.

3 .

Explore a garden gem in West Fife

Tucked away in the West of Fife, Kirkland Gardens is a gem. During the weekends of 21-22 February and 28 February-1 March you can visit and wander through two acres of enchanting woodland brought to life with drifts of naturalised snowdrops and vibrant hellebores as part of the Scottish Snowdrop Festival.

Enjoy tea, coffee, and homemade cakes in the marquee, and take home your own snowdrops to plant in your garden. All plants have been propagated in Saline so you know they'll survive in our climate.

Tip: Booking ahead recommended.
