The course is known locally as Balwearie and it is set within 150 acres of beautiful, rolling Fife countryside. From start to finish, this course is a true test of golf; the 1st hole, with the drive across the burn, is a challenge for any player, then its very own ‘Amen Corner‘ round the 6, 7, & 8th holes where a good round can be made or lost! And finally, in the homeward straight, the par 5 17th gives that special thrill of “should I shouldn’t I?” when contemplating carrying the burn in 2 from the top of the hill!
To complement the great game of golf at Balwearie, players can also sample the wonderful clubhouse facility which provides excellent food and beverages in a friendly environment.
You certainly won’t be disappointed with Balwearie, with the condition of the course being widely recognised as one of the best manicured in Fife. It has much-deserved recognition as a course everyone should play whilst visiting “The Kingdom”.
