Today more and more people want to investigate their family history. Who were they? Where did they originate from and perhaps discovering a family secret or uncover a family skeleton that could potentially be lurking in the cupboard. Programmes like Who Do You Think You Are? access to digitised records online, digging up your roots has become even more popular. In this fast world that we live in, there is not often the time to do this and so this is where I can help you.

I have been a professional researcher for over 20 years and in the last 16 years have been undertaking ancestral research. I am a Trustee of Fife Family History Society (A Charity registered in Scotland) and I am a member of a professional group of genealogists, Scottish Genealogy Network who meet on a monthly basis (when possible) and share skills, ideas and undertake Continuous Professional Development workshops to further their skills. I recently appeared on the BBC programme WDYTYA with actor Anne Reid ("We don't use the word 'Actress' anymore)  I am based near Cupar in Fife and have easy access to Fife Council Archive, The Special Collections Library in St Andrews and can hop on a train to all the major cities in Scotland.
