Join us for the official launch of the Fife Seed Library. We’ll be screening short films to introduce you to the importance of saving seeds, sharing some homemade light bites, and welcoming representatives from other seed libraries around Scotland to share their experiences and take part in a discussion. We’ll unveil our brand new Seed Library cabinet and you’ll be able to join the Seed Library as a member. We’d love for you to come along if you are: A home gardener or grower, part of a community garden, public greenspace, or a market garden in Fife Interested in learning more about seed saving and everything related to it Curious about how to build community around a seed library Everyone is welcome, no experience with seed saving is needed!
We’re excited to welcome Rowan from Glasgow Seed Library, Lisa of the North Edinburgh Seed Savers, Lauriston Farm, and the Scottish Seed Hub, Margaret and Alex from Perthshire Seed Library, and Efi from Dawson Park Community Garden in Dundee to share their knowledge and experience of seed saving and community growing. In our discussion, we’ll be able to answer questions about growing and seed saving, to talk about our hopes for seed sovereignty in Fife, and get your input into our plans for the Seed Library. Please RSVP to guarantee a place, as space is limited.
