Rebel Larder are a Scottish non-profit organisation, run by Dave Johnson and Vohn Mercer. We are currently running a series of hands-on deer butchery workshops. You will learn how to safely source Scottish wild deer, which is humanely culled to control the unsustainable deer population which damages important habitats native to Scotland. You will gain skills and confidence to cleanly skin and butcher in your own kitchen in future, and you’ll get to take home some of the venison, which is a nutritious, healthy, locally-available, low-fat, sustainable protein.
This will be a small group workshop, of less than 10 attendees, so everyone can get involved in a hands-on way to learn this ancient skill. This workshop is run in partnership with Cambo Heritage Trust. Places in this workshop are free, thanks to generous funding by Fife Communities Climate Action Network (FCCAN).
