Byre Opera presents:
Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Riders to the Sea and
Madeleine Dring’s Cupboard Love
Byre Opera present a contrasting double bill of British 20th centuryoperas in a unique location. Vaughan Williams’ drama Riders to the Sea focuses on a fishing family’s struggle with the loss of its menfolk at sea. Madeleine Dring’s black comedy Cupboard Love is a story of love, deception and a dead body in a cupboard! This witty and accessible “whodunnit” receives its first fully-staged UK performance since it was written in the 1950s.
