Come and see Conservation in Action at Bennet House as the NTS undertakes its 40th building restoration project in Culross.
Throughout 2016 The Little Houses Improvement Scheme, The National Trust for Scotland's Building Preservation Trust, will be restoring Bennet House, an historic building in Culross.
While the work is being carried out we will be using the restoration process as an engaging learning opportunity; 'The Study House'. We plan to investigate and learn about a wide range of topics, from practical conservation, repair and maintenance, to buildings recording and archaeology; as well as trying to uncover the history of the building and its role in the burgh.
Fortnightly hard hat tours will allow visitors to find out about the work of NTS in conserving historic buildings, as well as following progress over the course of the project to restore Bennet House.
For information on the project visit the Bennet House / Study House website and follow us @StudyHouseNTS
