About

With four bedrooms and three bathrooms, fabulous sociable living spaces and garden it’s a great choice for a break by the sea. Traditional in style, Misty Morn takes its name from the owners’ grandfather’s fishing boat and there is a contemporary take on coastal themes throughout the home.

Laid out over three levels, on entering there is a beautiful lounge with sofas and armchairs arranged around the wood burning stove. This is the perfect spot to relax in the evening and has a selection of games and books for family fun. The spacious dining kitchen has a table with plenty room for gathering together, and it is open plan to the kitchen so the designated cook can keep up with the chat. The range cooker and American style fridge freezer makes catering for eight guests a breeze. The kitchen has access to the garden, which is over several areas to make the most of the sun.

The courtyard has a decked area and gas barbecue in easy reach of the kitchen. Stone stairs lead to a further seating area with table and chairs and from here there is also a lawned garden.

The first floor has two large superking bedrooms, each with plenty of storage and a dressing table. One can be arranged as a twin on request and has an en-suite bathroom with shower over the bath. There is a family bathroom with separate shower cubicle and even a baby bath and some rubber ducks for the youngest members of your group! The second floor has two further bedrooms, a double and a superking (can be a twin on request) and a shower room.

Equally suited to families as it is golfers or as a break with friends, its location in the quaint East Neuk village of Cellardyke is just steps from the shoreline. The Fife Coastal Path is literally on the doorstep, and the waterfront of Anstruther with its restaurants, bars and shops is just a few minutes’ walk.

Parking is available on street.

The East Neuk is a popular destination for staycations or short breaks all year round. Known for its local larder of fresh produce, there are many fantastic places to eat and drink in the East Neuk- it’s a real foodie hotspot! Those seeking an active break can enjoy walks along the famous Fife coastal path, watersports or even some wild swimming in the nearby tidal pools. There are several world-renowned golf courses in the area, including the hardest par 3 in Britain at Anstruther Golf Course. St Andrews is less than 20 minutes by car and Edinburgh reached in about an hour, making the East Neuk a great base for exploring further afield too.
